rain making its way along the coast of northern california. by noon it could be over had giving us a chance of seeing letters showers as a result of this system. highs today the upper '40's low 50s and a cool afternoon. hearing color form of light blue indicating 50 degree weather. by 87 in the evening we replace that with very cold, 40 degree weather. brace yourself for a cold night tonight. the potential for what tomorrow as well. saturday and sunday rain in the next 30 to 40 percent chance of that. odds are good i know put it that way. will have a little instability next week with showers monday through thursday. >> no major problems but you will see regular slow commute traffic headed through san francisco. the cash lanes and fast track lanes are all backed up. the backup is not quite stretching into the open maze, that is the good news. it is also backed up on the 880 over cross. there was a stall on the san mateo bridge eastbound near the high rise. bridge crews are still heading out for that. it is not causing a major back up. the commute direction on the right-hand side is

to approach northern california. by noon we have the impulse pushing through the bay area and that was when we can see widespread rain. it will be with us through most of the day and by 8:00 p.m. it will start to break up. and we'll have residual showers throughout sunday. scattered showers in the mix for monday tuesday wednesday and thursday. we will stand as winter like weather pattern for the foreseeable future. >> the bay bridge approach is really the only bay area branch that is backed up so far this morning. it is not backed up, no accidents no stalls. traffic is backed up on to the 880 over crossing into the west grand. drive times are still about 17 minutes out of the oakland a's and two san francisco. the salmon sale bridge is doing just fine even though there was a stall on the eastbound side. -- san mateo that is westbound as a worker way out of hayward turds foster city. traffic is moving fairly well across the bridge headed over to the peninsula. 1 01 looking good it would no problems on the span to slow you down. traffic maps the show's most of the traffic slows traffic is in the
